Started season with Mack and Downie on a line. Downie got traded so they had Talbot up there for a while.

Tanguay got injured, MacK moved to RW, and McGinn played with Dutch and ROR for most of the season and were lights out.

Playoffs when Dutch was hurt, he played on a line with ROR and PAP, and they were TERRIBLE as 2nd Line.

But shows you the guy can play 1st line to 3rd line LW or RW. He plugs in nicely, but mostly suited for 3rd line duties and a Top 6 call up when injuries hit

We have quite a few of these, but that's not a bad problem to have. Good to have that kind of depth. I keep saying that about Girgs. I know at the end of the day, when this team is really competing, he's going to be the 3rd Line C. And a part of me hates that he'll be that far down the depth chart, but at the same time it's a super scary proposition that a guy like that is going to be on the 3rd line.

Girgs and McGinn could be a good 3rd line combo. And I think its the right call to have him as a 3rd C. You cant have guys playing beyond their comfortable depth chart roles and be successful. Its not Grigs playing Top 6, but its guy who would have to fill in to play 3rd line. You end up pushing 4th line guys to play 3rd line minutes and journey ahlers to be 4th line call ups.

Building proper depth is huge, 3rd line has to be almost as strong as your 2nd line if you really want to succeed in this league now.

I just hope Bylsma keeps lines together if they're doing well, and not play mind games ala Lindy when they have a few rough patches......

I think you make a compelling argument, but Moulson needs to have a spot in the top 6.

You have way more time watching the guy, and your posts all more or less confirm what I believe: as we enter the season, we have better options on the second line than McGinn.

If some of our guys get hurt, OK, in a pinch. But not as our first choice. Even as an experiment.

I think with Eichel living with Moulson, they will start the season together. Coaches love chemistry.

Im not interested in putting Moulson on a third line. Seems like a waste. Moulson is a complimentary player Whether you like it or not. He needs to be surrounded by Talent in order to get the most out of him. Second line LW is where he belongs otherwise he will be a disappointment

IMO this whole "outrage at hunters" issue is a result of an incredible lack of information. People complain that killing these animals by hunting is cruel.

If any person protesting the hunting of these animals eats meat, or wears leather, they ought to watch a documentary called "Food Inc." To see how the animal products industry operates, and how they raise their products in their factories (neither of those word choices is exaggerated), would cause all these people to understand that hunters are far less cruel to animals than Wegmans, Tops, or any other grocery chain (or fashion company).

Sorry. Back to hockey.

I have zero issue with hunters as long as it's done legally.
